Website Update

Intro

Last year I did a bunch of work on my content, but now it’s time for a big website update. I made an announcement of my social media, that starting with the short ‘Are You A Fascist’, I will be adding artist commentary and behind the scenes info for all short film uploads going forward. The goal is to create a space where my audience can engage with my content on a deeper level as opposed to just drive by comments on social media. Ideally, I’d like to have discussions about the shorts or hear some good feedback and criticism. Social networks are good for being called dumb by some 12 year old who gets a strong right by his father, but not the best for making better shorts.

The format for these blogs will evolve as I learn more about what works and what doesn’t work. This update comes with a caveat. I will be updating regular, non-short film blogs bi-weekly now. Specifically, the uploads will be on weeks where there are no shorts set to premiere.

Short film

No blog

Week 2

No short film

Blog

And so on.

Regular blogs will also be lighter to read and less dense. There’s a few reasons for this, but the short of it is that they take too much time to write and aren’t all that popular for the site. The goal of blogs going forward is to be informative, but also concise. These changes will start by the time this blog goes live, but I do have several blogs backlogged that are pretty long and they’ll be released over the coming weeks (they’re good, I promise). There will still be the occasional long, in depth blog but that will be the exception not the rule.

Finally, thanks for reading the blog and watching my shorts! These are much needed changes that I think will benefit the shorts and also the content on this website.
